Raffaella Curiel said it best, "The right styling is very important for the success of a collection". Even the smallest of details can go beyond expectations in transforming a garment. The beaded belt that was chosen to accompany this was the best choice by far. This is certainly a standout for me. It reminded me of images I have seen before while casually glancing through fashion history books. For me this is a Poiret piece for 2018. I can imagine how the women of the 1920's would have styled this with a turban nodding to the age of Orientalism in fashion. This look for me would be luxurious daywear. I felt an emotional response that took me back to a time when women dared to wear trousers in the evening, a very Sybil outfit and moment. Just to be clear if anyone knows me they know I would definitely wear this to work and during the day. This? Yes, this and I would change anything about it and any outfit that I know is exuding my lifestyle and my sense of self that can tell a story that only I can tell. Why not tell your story differently for a change this year?
